Blaze of memory

I recently finished reading 'blaze of memory' by Nalini Singh and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
It took me a little while to get into this book unlike all the others in the psy-changeling series. It deviates from the normal characters from this series and I thought I wouldn't like it, but once again,  Nalini Singh makes it difficult not to connect with the characters.
I thought I would have problems with liking Dev's character, but I ended up loving him.
He's strong, dangerous, possessive, and masculine, yet he has a tender loving side he fights to control. He is more like the changelings than the psy in his ways and it makes for a very interesting combination. Then there is Katya,  a psy with amnesia and Ming's pawn.  She is so strong willed and determined even whilst broken, you can't help but feel sorry for her.  These two worked so well together. They had so much heat and so much emotion between them.  I was a wreck by the end of the book.
This is by far one of the best series I've read in a long time and I can't wait to read them all.  These books are well written and impossible to put down.

Goals

At the beginning of the year I set myself some goals for the year to come and I'm pleased to say I've already achieved two of my three goals.
The biggest achievement for me has to be completing the first draft of my book which I am now editing :)
I'll post up some snippets as and when I can (just need to tweak bits before I'm ready to post) all snippets are subject to change and I'm always pleased to hear any feedback, preferably constructive :)

Beat Sheets (story layouts)

Saw these great beat sheet's on another authors blog so I thought I would share them, of course all credit goes to Jami for these, not me.
